God bless our Ugly Ranger, the 523rd was fortunate to have had the leadership it had during some of the worst times in transportation history, Ug was “Top Notch” in looking out for his men and making things work, I’ve heard the stories of some of his actions like walking around during a rocket attack making sure everyone was ok and under cover, and organizing the gun trucks when an attack was eminate even after the higher ups had been warned—–Ug was a stand up and stand out kind of guy, God Bless our Ugly Ranger.
