    Frenchie,
To my surprise I just heard from Ed BEAUTE (NCOIC) King Cobra! He states he is alive and well just viewing the site and entered his info so I reached out! You can imagine my surprise when he responded back! He mentions seeing your posts and thought you would contact him.

  • Jay Jay

Sent contact info to your e mail!

I never saw anything on Ed Beaute, for whatever reasons I didn’t see anything. Heck if you’ve sent me his email to my email address at bnbourget@yahoo.com I will email him right off, thanks for letting me know, thanks a bunch. I will email him and my phone number is 207-588-6306 in Maine. Do you remember Hiram Kirkland and James Heflin, they were both NCOIC’s on the King Cobra when I was on it and still in touch with them. Heflin lives in Oklahoma and Hiram lives in Texas. Alright I will let you go for now, but thanks for letting me know.
      Much Appreciated, Bruce aka Frechie

PS: Yea Jay, If you want to call me about anything, I will be here, Us Guntrucks are Few and Far Between and We are not getting any younger, thats for sure. Catch ya later

    Good Morning Brothers,
It has been a real slice and I will indeed miss the site as I am retiring from my position with the VA and moving on to another chapter in life. I will have over 46 years of service to the government upon my retirement and I’m feeling that is more than enough. My favorite part of course was back when I served on the trucks (King Cobra & Cold Sweat)for my most fondest-exciting!
Not that the rest to present has not been, but my most fondest and memorable is from those times past and the guys that I learned life issues/problems from. Thank You!

Until I can acquire a home machine, I’ll write again….

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, everyone of you!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year back to you Jay, Hey, Congradulations on your Retirement, holymoly 45 years is impressive, I worked at the VA in Togus, Me., for 12 years and then got a better job at Bath Iron Works and now also, am retired. Going back to the King Cobra, it sure was exciting, you must of been on the King Cobra before I got on, I was the right rear gunner, Bill Bartlett was our Driver. Heavyman was the NCOIC at that time, oh well, those sure were the days, and exciting for sure. I wish you the Best with the Christmas Holidays, God Bless, later Frenchie
